A Few Safety Tips to Remember

Our system has a unique way of bringing qualified buyers to your doorstep when you least expect it - so always be prepared to show your property. Be courteous and try to accommodate a Buyer’s schedule, but remember to think about your safety first!

When qualifying Buyers and showing your property, follow your instincts and record each Buyer’s name and phone in our Buyer Registry. Never let a complete stranger into your home without qualifying the Buyer first!

While on the telephone, try to find out a little information about the Buyer. Take a moment to ask a few questions. Determine how serious the Buyer is about purchasing your property,

Here are a few questions you can ask:

  • How did you hear about our home? (Newspaper, Yard Sign, or Web Site?)
  • Do you have a home to sell? Is your home already listed or under contract?
  • Are you pre-approved for a mortgage? If not, suggest they call a Lender in our directory.
  • What kind of home are you looking for?

Before meeting with each Buyer, call the Buyer and reconfirm your meeting time. This allows you to verify if the Buyer has given you their correct name and phone number.

If possible, try showing your property during daylight hours. If you feel the least bit uncomfortable, ask a friend, family member or neighbor to be present during your showing.

Serious Buyers will be patient and will work within your appointment schedule. Never allow yourself to be forced into showing your home without proper notice.
